Chestnut Class
Welcome to Chestnut Class! We are a lively group of Year 3 and Year 4 children, guided by Mrs Hussey and supported by Mrs. Wood.
This term in History, we will explore The Titanic, Triumph or Tragedy? To develop knowledge of Southampton Docks in relation to the Titanic and how it impacted Locally, Nationally and Internationally.
In Geography, following on from our history we will discuss if Southampton is a gateway to the rest of the world. We will build knowledge and understanding of the land use and settlement of Southampton and how Southampton is connected to the world.
In Science, we will be investigating the life cycle of plants. What does a plant need to grow and thrive? Growing plants from seeds.
In Art, we will be inspired by Karen Gunderson, looking at how water, oceans and rivers are represented in art.
Class Information:
There will be no formal weekly spelling test.
PE is on Wednesday and Friday. On Wednesday we would like the children to come to school in their uniforms and bring their PE kits with them to change into. On Fridays, we would like the children to come to school in their PE kits.
