Music - Drumming
Throughout the spring term, the children have enjoyed learning about African percussion.
The learning journey began with learning the names of the instruments, and the correct way to play them.
A variety of rhythms were taught, and the children learnt how to play more than one rhythm within a group or a whole class performance.
The term ended with a wonderful concert where the children were able to show off what they had learnt and their performance skills on the African instruments. The children particularly enjoyed being able to play the drums along to a song from The Lion King.
