Chestnut Class went on an educational visit to The Farleigh Wallop Estate. On this countryside awareness day, the children learned about the work on the estate, such as growing cereal
crops, farming sheep and keeping bees. They also saw some of the large farm machinery, did some leaf printing in the gardens and had a display from the woodmen, as the estate also has a large commercial woodland. We walked to the farm along The Drove, clocking up four miles in total there and back! The weather was good for the visit, and all the children had a great day of outdoor learning.
