Oakley Juniors 7 Cliddesden 0

Our football team played their last league match against Oakley Juniors. We were defeated 7-0 but that score line didn’t reflect the effort and great teamwork that the children displayed. Oakley are notoriously good in all sports events and the skill that they showed yesterday supported that reputation.

However, our team demonstrated pride and resilience and kept trying hard, defending toughly and never giving up in search of an elusive goal.

Chiltern 3 Cliddesden 2

A fiercely competitive match from the start.  Both teams were eager to make an impact and take the lead.  Cliddesden subbed James in and within minutes he scored giving us a 1-0 lead.  Following some scrappy play right in front of the goal mouth, Taylor managed to slip the ball in giving Cliddesden a 2-0 lead.  This was short lived as Chiltern, determined not to give in, scored and then scored again shortly after to even the match.  So at 2-2 with just minutes to go and both teams giving it their all, Chiltern managed a 3rd goal.

The team played with passion and determination and are looking forward to their next match.

North Waltham 4 Cliddesen 3
Cliddesden played their first game out of 4 in the league in late October. We travelled to our old rivals North Waltham. It was a closely contested game with some good play from both teams. North Waltham scored first before we equalised. This pattern continued with Cliddesden holding North Waltham at 3-3 until near the end of the match. However, a late goal from North Waltham saw our opponents win narrowly by 4 goals to 3. Mr Davies was pleased though with our teams performance and sense of fair play.
