Tag Rugby Tournament
We were lucky enough to have two teams represent our school at the annual Tag Rugby Tournament held at May’s Bounty. For a number of the children, this was the first time they had represented their school in an external sporting event. The weather was changeable, one-minute beautiful sunshine and pouring with rain the next. This did not deter our teams. Each team played a number of games against other local Basingstoke schools and despite the score line not being in our favour, the children learnt some valuable lessons. They learnt to work as a team and the need to communicate. They demonstrated our school values with each and every child contributing a skill of some description. Some showed speed and accuracy, others communication and leadership and many showing how they had developed their skills and understanding of the game.
