Willow Class visit the Rainforest
Willow Class arrived at Gatwick airport ready to fly to Manaus in Brazil, to visit a rainforest. We collected our passports, went through security and had our bags scanned. Then we had our passports stamped and added a stamp of our own too!
We waited in the busy airport to board the plane. Once we matched our boarding pass number to our seat we were ready for the safety talk. The pilot said hello, and we had a slightly bumpy take-off. As the flight was so long, the air stewards passed round drinks and snacks. We could see the forest as the plane flew over Brazil, and we landed safely into a rainy Manaus. The rainforest leader met us, taking us through passport control and to our rainforest classroom. The leader checked all our backpacks and opened the door for us to hear the rainforest sounds. After lunch we went exploring with iPads and found many animals. We had a great time exploring and now have many more questions to ask about the rainforest.
