Bikeability
Our Year 6 children took part in Bikeability. This is a cycling proficiency course that we book every year. The children began by cycling in the playground where they learned how to check that their bikes are safe and how to stop, practice how to look for traffic and the rules of the road. They then progressed onto the roads in the village and learned how to ride safely, who has priority at junctions and on the road and what the different road signs and markings mean. The sun shone all week and the children thoroughly enjoyed their time outside and learning how to be proficient cyclists.
