Early Years visit Wellington Country Park
Willow class had an amazing visit to Wellington Country Park. We started off with a Bug workshop, where the children showed off the scientific vocabulary they had learnt in school, greatly impressing the activity leader. We had a quick bounce on the enormous pillow, which turned out to be the highlight of the trip for lots of children. We managed to get the train to ourselves and enthusiastically squealed as we went through the tunnels. We moved onto the farm and saw some fascinating animals including some enormous rabbits and watched a chicken lay an egg!
After lunch we walked round to the dinosaurs, observing some of the different animal habitats on the way. We wondered what habitats dinosaurs would have enjoyed and if they were very different from the environment that exists now.
All of the children were so polite and friendly, showing fantastic listening skills and asking some really interesting questions.
